Banana Cacao Hemp Protein Energy Smoothie

This is one of my favorite breakfast treats. It is filling, packed with nutrition and tastes like a milkshake! 

1 banana
2 tbs cacao powder
2 tbs hemp protein powder
1 tbs chia seeds
1 tbs green powder (chlorella, spirulina or greens of your choice)
1 tsp cordyceps
1 tbs coconut butter
1 tbs bee pollen
2 cups rice, almond, hemp or other grain/nut milk – fresh is best!

A quick breakdown of some of the ingredients:

Bee Pollen – contains more protein than any animal source per ounce, reduces cravings, boosts immunity, helps with allergies, boosts energy and so much more! Here is a link to a wonderful article on the many benefits of bee pollen.  You can also eat it straight out of the jar…see photo below. 

Coconut Butter – one of my favorite additions to smoothies, toast or gluten free waffles! It is rich in good saturated fat, gives you energy and boosts your metabolism. It is also rich in amino acids, calcium and magnesium. 

Chia seeds – these tiny seeds are making a big impact in health news recently. They are full of calcium and rich in healthy omegas.
